BEWARE OF IMPOSTORS AND COUNTERFEITS!
DSM POLICE Safety Banner/Critical Incident Identification System is solely manufactured by DSM Safety Products Inc. No other division of DSM Safety Products Inc, nor any other company, manufactures a similar or competing product that is similar in appearance or deployment. The DSM Safety Banner is patented and protected by US Patents. There are no agents or dealers that are authorized to build, assemble or manufacture a DSM POLICE Safety Banner system.
Since 2017 one of our former dealers, Tactical Express LLC of Fairfield CT, was offering for sale and selling POLICE Safety Banners made by a third-party who was not authorized by DSM or licensed under DSM’s patent rights. These unauthorized safety banners do not meet our quality or safety standards and were sold to unsuspecting consumers without our knowledge for approximately two years. We were made aware of this in 2019 when a member of a federal law enforcement agency contacted DSM citing poor quality, and we engaged legal counsel to address the matter with Tactical Express. As a consequence, Tactical Express is no longer an authorized dealer for DSM.
An easy way to spot one of these unauthorized safety banners is by the clip on the belt case. If the clip has a hollow u-shape (see photo), it is not a genuine DSM product. Unfortunately we cannot grant or be responsible for any warranty issues on counterfeit products sold without our authorization, but we can offer for sale a superior product to replace the product you were sold.

… a quality product, sturdy, well made and inexpensive. It recently won best of show for new law enforcement product at the recent TREXPO West Show in California. When deployed, it would be extremely difficult for a responding officer not to be able to identify the wearer as a law enforcement officer. Prior to deployment, it is easily concealed in what looks like a cell phone pouch (which does not identify the wearer as an LEO).
